How a Tasdak project runs

No surprises, no change-order games. Here is exactly what happens from your first phone call to the day we hand over the warranty binder.

  1. 1. First call or email

Tell us the asset, the problem and your deadline. If it is an emergency we will say so on the call and mobilize; if it is a planning-cycle item we will schedule a walk that suits you. Most calls take under ten minutes.

  2. 2. Site walk and assessment

Paul Welch attends personally. We measure, take adhesion pull-off and dry-film readings where relevant, photograph the substrate, check access and confirm what utilities and containment the job will need. You get a copy of the findings whether or not you hire us.

  3. 3. Written proposal

Line-itemed by area, with the surface preparation standard (for example SSPC-SP 6 or SP 10), the exact product system and film build, mobilization, containment, disposal, schedule and exclusions written out. If there is a cheaper approach that still works, it is listed as an option.

  4. 4. Pre-job planning

Insurance certificates, safety data sheets, job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout coordination, confined-space permits and a written schedule go to your team before anyone shows up. We hold a pre-job meeting with your operations lead.

  5. 5. Containment and preparation

Enclosures built, dust collection and vacuum recovery running, adjacent equipment masked. Preparation is inspected and signed off before any coating is opened.

  6. 6. Application with daily QA

Every shift logs air and surface temperature, relative humidity, dew point spread, batch numbers, mixing ratios and wet/dry film thickness. Hold points are honored; if conditions fall outside the manufacturer's window we stop and tell you why.

  7. 7. Inspection and punch

Holiday testing, adhesion verification and a joint walk with your representative. Punch items are corrected before demobilization, not after.

  8. 8. Closeout and maintenance plan

You receive the QA logs, photo record, product data and warranty, plus a recommended inspection interval so the asset gets touched up before it needs blasting again.

Safety

Safety is scheduling

An incident stops your plant as surely as it stops our crew. Every Tasdak supervisor holds OSHA 30, our applicators hold OSHA 10, and confined-space and respirator programs are managed in-house with annual fit testing and medical clearance.

  • Daily toolbox talks documented and signed
  • Written job hazard analysis per scope, reviewed on site
  • Confined-space entry with attendant and rescue plan
  • Personal and area air monitoring on abatement work
  • Zero lost-time incidents in the 2025 season

Environment

What leaves the site

Spent abrasive, coating debris and wash water are characterized, containerized and manifested through licensed haulers. Where the substrate carries lead or chromate, we run the abatement under a written compliance plan and provide the disposal documentation at closeout.

  • Vacuum recovery and recyclable abrasives where feasible
  • Low-VOC and low-odor systems for occupied buildings
  • Waste characterization and manifests included in closeout
  • Spill kits and secondary containment at every mixing station
